Steven was always available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns I had; this was the first house I purchased on my own and I am a senior citizen. Since I had to travel 2 hours to look at houses and I was still working, my time to look at houses in State College was relatively limited, but when I saw houses I wanted to take a look at, Steven always found time to fit my son's and my schedule, weekends and after 5 pm. Steven and his staff were top notch. Their professionalism is second to none. (Believe me..., we have used other realtors previously) Their use of a professional photographer and stager really got the ball rolling, which resulted in 10 showings in the first week, and ultimately an offer within that first week. Steven Bodner and his team are, simply stated, the best. Throughout this process several people around town tried to recommend their special real-estate agent to us. It was remarkable how many times their agent ended up being Steven Bodner. That alone made us feel like we got lucky and found the right person to help us. But his attention to our needs, patience and help keeping us focused, and his help closing the deal on the home of our dreams is why I recommend him to everyone I meet. We began working with Steven in April 2015 when we made our first house hunting trip from California. We had very particular needs that didn't match most of the houses on the market. Steven looked at photos of our California home and listened to what our aspirations were and helped us find a home we could love, almost immediately. However, because our California home had not yet sold we couldn't buy in the end. It was nearly a year before another house suitable for us came on the market. Steven kept us from wasting our time and money by keeping us focused on what we really wanted and not just any house. Steven was my realtor when I purchased my home in January 2016. In addition to providing me with all the information I needed, he was courteous, prompt, and extremely willing to "go the extra mile". We were first time home buyers. From the initial meeting with Steven, we felt informed, respected, and supported. Steven is very thorough, organized, and patient. Most of the time he was able to meet with us for all showings, but if by some chance he was not available, his team stepped in to meet us at a potential property- it was a seamless, enjoyable process. Steven knows the local area and many of the sellers, and he has a complete knowledge of national trends as well. This combination allowed us to defer to him without reservation for decisions about prices, property values, and other financial transactions. To that end, Steven is very knowledgeable about VA mortgages (and many other types of loans). In particular, his knowledge about VA mortgages was one of the initial reasons we met with him. Steven is very tuned in to what property is on the market within a client's specified price range. Several times we saw properties just before they went on the market. In fact, the house we ended up buying was shown to us right before it went on the market, and Steven called us minutes after we had parted ways from seeing another potential property with the news of its availability. When we agreed to see the property, he called to make arrangements, we saw it that evening, and the next day we wrote up an offer! Buying a house is a huge financial investment that moves very quickly. Steven was always patient with us as we completed the paperwork. He answered our questions and engaged in thoughtful conversation, offering advice when we asked for it, and remaining respectfully silent when my husband and I talked amongst ourselves. During the home inspection and final negotiations, Steven remained our go-to, pillar of knowledge, handling each decision with the same expert approach he had used at our initial meeting. At the closing, as we sat around the table, one could see the respect that all parties had for each other. Steven creates a warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and collaborative culture for buying a home. Importantly, even when Steven was not meeting with us face-to-face on a consistent basis, he was keeping in touch with us via email and newsletters. There were several opportunities for buyer "perks" around the holidays (e.g., a free holiday pie) and at other times (e.g., a happy hour). These gestures were genuine and felt as if they were "more than business." We found our home in a reasonable timeframe. It is perfect for us and our family, which I should mention, Steven was phenomenal with our baby who attended most showings and meetings. I would highly recommend Steven Bodner and his team if you are buying a house. If we ever sell our current home, then I know we'll be calling him to help us with that process as well!

While I knew Steven was an amazing realtor, I didn't fully understand his expertise and level of service until I moved to another state and worked with another realtor. We had been looking on our own for months for a home to purchase in a neighborhood we wanted to live in. Finally our mortgage officer gave us 3 names of real estate people and Steven was the first one on the list so we scheduled a meeting and decided after that meeting we wanted to work with Steven to find our home.
